Fire wood processing

Something the boss and I have been talking about getting in to for an extra line of revenue during the winter and when things are slow.

As already asked, what sort of money would that be over there, and also whatís the largest diameter timber it can take?

No idea Graham but you could bet on it being expensive. Not sure if it would be a bit much for us but as a friend of mine said if your going to do it you have to go big as there are others in the business and you have to be able to produce in bulk.
The boss had talked about getting a used buncher for cutting trees and I told him we could get a shear type attachment for one of the excavators instead of buying a used single purpose machine and inheriting all its problems. It's all just talk for now and would require a significant investment so we'll see what happens.
