Wey and Arun Canal
 
At weekends I am a volunteer on this canal restoration project.

It has a lot of construction pics and info and I hope might be of intrest to some of you.
We have a Case CX130 exc, a 4.5t Hanix, 6t dumper and 1.5t tracked dumper. Plus a lot of enthusiasm.

Rob we run long reaches in our fleet, would be able to supply some machines for a bit of voluntry on and off.

Yep. Those two uprights are all that is remaining of the lock that was once there.
They are the lower gate steels that the gates hinged against. Called coins or coynes I believe.
