Would have thought fuel starvation the most likely culprit. Check filters and any crud sieve in the base of the tank.

Might also be air getting into the fuel line, although that would usually...

The floor has been patched with an over plate on that corner. You can see it clearly on the standard rear tipped pic.

Yeah, one report said sand and cement another was soil and cement, but its on the right lines to perhaps allow tunnelling. I know that if they are using a TBM they much prefer hard solid rock....
