I rang bucket warehouse a while back with a list of 4 buckets inc a tilt ditcher and they said they would ring me back in ten mins. Told them I need them within a week and could they alter one...

they cant be removed, so i had them adjusted by a plant fitter and its fine now, looks like somebody had been messing and tightened the preload adjusters, meaning that the hydraulic pressure had to...

as excav8 mentions above, depends on the base material of the oil, was warned not to mix so didnt take a chance, drained the whole system inc all the rams and pumps etc and filled with new bio iso46...

Yeah, fitted a new seal in the boom ram cylinder and it solved the problem, the original one looked new and the cylinder and piston are unmarked so must just have had a slight wear/tolerance and was...

I use plenty of diggers and they are often refilled by the farmers, but the ones i fill are:

Volvo EC15 (9yrs old) grading and dozing work, 20 litres in 7 hrs :eek:

Looks like you are correct :)

The dipper and bucket can be operated smoothly and i put this down to the weightless of them compared to the boom and slew, which are jerky.

Like you say, if the cheaper plasma has had a years use then its good enough for me to buy one, and I can justify spending around 500 but not any more really as I only want it...

Got the seal kit from Richard Smalley (he supplied the wrong one first time :rolleyes: ) and i'm not impressed.

The cost was 86 + vat for a few o rings and bits of plastic. I got the part numbers...

I still have a bit of noticable bounce/play in the boom ram and wondered if the collar on the end of the rod inside the ram...

This is the last niggle to sort on my machine. It's a richard smalley 430 grave digger.

When already slewing, the boom won't lift, and the movement of the boom control has no effect on the slew,...
