Re: Power pack to run a flail

Yeah I highly doubt you need to modify your hydraulic system for that might be slower tracking speed but you don't really want to go that fast. Are you going to be flailing for other...

Re: Power pack to run a flail

Sorry for the ignorance but how thick is 1-2 year's of hedge growth 2-3 inches? I highly doubt you'll need anything more than whatever your machine has for hydraulic power. You can probably talk to a...

Re: Power pack to run a flail

Re: Long reach excavators

Don't know what the parts availability will be of a VC20 but they might also be better suited tough-ish digging conditions with it's rope crowd system. The 290 won't have the best digging forces and...

Re: I-Dig systems 1D and 2D machine control.

yeah that's the one thing I worry about too but I have found out that we do have a dealer here in Western Canada. It would be nice if we could get more steady work first.

Re: I-Dig systems 1D and 2D machine control.

We've talked at length about getting the 'I-dig best' system for one of Clint's excavators with all the ditching we do and the odd basement excavation. The price is better than a Trimble GPS system...

Re: John Deere's biggest Bulldozer

Yeah Deere is the king of re-badging other people's equipment. Excavators are all produced by Hitachi but some models sadly have a Deere engine in them (the ones you want to avoid). They were for...

Re: Small Dozer vs Tracked Skidsteer

Tracked skid-steer does less damage than a dozer and you can run it on pavement if you have to, flotation is better, they are faster, dozer will live a longer life but that also comes down to how you...

If you went with a Hiab maybe put a clamshell on it so you can self-load from time to time when the job calls for it.
