Re: be aware of what you wear

As you say, how do you tell before it is too late. They imply they are CE marked. Saying you should "challange" your supplier is just so much hot air. What is anyone going to say if you ask?

Re: Custom built excavator

He has put a lot of thought, time and effort into it. Looks a great bit of kit.

Re: SW Muckshifting (Very) Ltd

I have second dipper extensions that quick hitch on. They work great if you are careful.

Re: SW Muckshifting (Very) Ltd

What are you doing with the other bit? Thought you were talking about making the Tak an extending dipper using a JCB 3CX extender dig at one time. Shouldn’t be that difficult.

Re: SW Muckshifting (Very) Ltd

Well worth while modification. I use ours loads. 360 telehandler is great in tight spots. It took me a bit of practice to get just right though. Much easier with a tilty.

Re: Druid’s New Duck – ’99 Hydrema-Wiemar M1500

Thanks for the offer, I’ll keep you in mind. It’s all little stuff at present, so seems excessive to pallet it down to you.
Mog shifted the A61 before Christmas and made a few bits for me between...

Re: Druid’s New Duck – ’99 Hydrema-Wiemar M1500

I wish you were local to me. I have plenty of ideas, but no skill or time to do them myself. Haven't been able to find anyone locally who is interested in making the sort of stuff you do from an idea...

Re: well that's f**ked it

The BBC say he got out okay, which is pretty amazing.
It would appear from the photos that covering the owners name with plastic sheet had priority over everything else.

Re: So - an opinion - tiltys and prices !

Okay, I'm going to ask what is potentially a really stupid question. Don't machine manufacturers buy their hydraulic components off the shelf? If so the smoothness or otherwise must be in the way the...

Re: So - an opinion - tiltys and prices !

I spoke to Tom about why he doesn't post, some time ago, and he said he had a problem with his password and couldn't get on and got no help from Julian so he had lost interest.

Re: So - an opinion - tiltys and prices !

Much as I like the look of Eurocomach machines, saw a couple at Exc@v8 and thought they looked the business, my little walker is a Euromach. Slightly different. Good machines if you want a walker,...

Re: So - an opinion - tiltys and prices !

Just catching up with the thread. My Euromach is open cab, not even canopy, just a roll bar. I already need 6 bottons on the top of each joystick plus some change over ones on the front to control...

Re: Charges for workshop radios

Best thing that could happen is they were got rid of. Why these people think everyone else should be subjected to their choice of music I don't know. Particuarly bad in residential areas where all...

Re: So - an opinion - tiltys and prices !

Unfortunately it must be your writing style as it sometimes comes across that you are not suggesting better ways from your experience, but telling others what they should and should not be allowed to...

Re: So - an opinion - tiltys and prices !

Are you allowed to tell us what's in the pipeline? I'm always interested in new and better ways of doing stuff.
My guess would be hibrid or fully electric machines, more remote control, AI taking...

Re: Short term public liability insurance

Talk to your broker. I needed air-side insurance for 2 weeks and mine had no problem organising it. It was expensive, but annual cover is over £25,000.

Glad the track shovel is working out. Over £1000 in a month isn't bad.

Re: So - an opinion - tiltys and prices !

I can see what experienced users are saying - you won't get the most from a tilt rotator without having the up to date system to run it, which is obvious, things have moved on since they were...

Re: Radiator recore,plastic top?

Worth trying K seal, it is really good stuff. Used it a lot on Landrover’s and it always sorted out the leaks.

Re: So - an opinion - tiltys and prices !

I guess you a right. I can live with slightly slower on the grabs, but I guess it must be losing pressure or have a restrictor somewhere as it definitely grabs better directly off the breaker circuit...

Re: So - an opinion - tiltys and prices !

I think it is to do with the size of the rotary coupling that limits the flow.
I have four powered attachments I use under the tilty, but if I want to run my rotary sieve it will barely turn empty...

Re: So - an opinion - tiltys and prices !

I think there is mileage in basic systems, especially on the smaller machines. I run buttons and foot peddle on both my small walkers and it works pretty well, certainly I’m happy with it. Yes, fully...

Re: So - an opinion - tiltys and prices !

11k is the most basic of basic kits. Manual hitch I think. Most people will end up spending a lot more. Once you get into the trick computer control the cost rockets. I would rather settle for a...
