Surprising how easy it can be to cook the hydraulic oil, it can sometimes hit a chain reaction and start boiling the oil. If you have a dip stick to check the oil I'd say you'd be able to tell if it...

You would need to make sure it has been checked and signed off by a qualified electrician kinda like pat testing but I'm sure it's called something else. We use a Lincoln vantage on site quite a bit...

Getting a bit worried about highland hammer hire. I was told on order it would take 12 days for manufacture then it's shipped from Finland . It's just gone a month and he's not returning my calls....

Is that a vw ute you have there? Never really noticed any like that my time down under. It was all land cruiser and hilux and rodeos and navaras.

Still the same digger just had 3 new booms, 2 cabs, 5 engines, and a replaced undercarriage but it's still the same digger :D

Their handy storage and quick option to get you going but the longer you use then you find the item you want always ends up in the back behind everything else :D you need strategically positioned...

The check valve for the boom Is normally connected directly to the ram under the boom.

So just a short update for those who have given some good advice. I have got an S45 hitch coming from highland hammer hire and a set of new buckets to suit from BMC. I'm still waiting for all these...

is that the "hardlock" or the turnable hitch you have?

There does look to be a height saving on those quick hitches but at what cost?
they look slightly wider than a standard QH would be, does...

Those BMC buckets look like decent bits of kit, how are they priced?
I'm sending the old man off to Scot Plant to see if there is a deal to be done :D
