Re: Digger not charging ??

First thing is get the multimeter out and test what the alternator is chucking out, you are looking for 14.4v.

If alternator is good then make sure it's getting the charge back to the battery.

Re: So - an opinion - tiltys and prices !

Ss5 means bugger all to me and I dare say same about 90% of others that read this too.

I lost interest in this thread after page 5 or so as it just became a war of who knows most about it vs who...

Re: Druid’s New Duck – ’99 Hydrema-Wiemar M1500

I'd hazard a guess that he's just drawn it out on his table top, just to get a feel for it's size and something to work to while making it

Re: Estimate vs Quote

You need to buy some of them a dictionary, just to show what an estimate means.

Re: Bobcat paint

My bobcat is 2 years old and still as good as the day it arrived :)

Older machines did suffer but these newer ones seem a lot better.

Re: terms and conditions for plant hire

I've never found what I needed online, so I just get my local printer to make them up for me. Normally get 5 at a time so it reduces the cost compared to buying just 1.

Re: 7-8 ton tracked excavator

I'd say the new engine has done 800hours and they reset the clock at time of fitting.

But it would be better to know hours the rest of the machine has done.

Re: pot holes

I think Ross is great for sorting a new site out but there's plenty of us in the dark about it. I'd of liked to have thought any new site would get a bit more input from members....who I'd expect...

If that's how you've been told to clear snow with a 3cx/432 then you need to give them a sore head.:D

Re: Retro fit dozer float

Perfect for when your on hard standing, pop it in float and give it a tidy up, no gouges out of the tarmac or concrete.

It's no good for back blading as there's not enough weight behind...

Re: Retro fit dozer float

I always had cat minis and the float on the blade was well used, it's a shame others don't have it but the cat let themselves down when it came to replacing my last machine so i went elsewhere.

Re: The weather and landscape pictures thread

This country is only bothered about getting it's pay cheque for putting in the least amount of effort....this disease has spread far and wide here in the UK and I cant see it changing anytime soon....

Re: Estimate vs Quote

Yes it's better to fall out for a few days for saying no than fall out for a lifetime over something daft that goes wrong, which is no ones fault.
