Missed this bit, yes that is DC2.
We had absolutely no bother with the Hitachi but to be honest we spend a lot of time on calibration, sometimes running back through the sequence multiple times...

Thanks, we have done that on a few things now but that was the first grapple saw I have done it on. It works well though and others have followed.

The bottom cover plate below the hitch is an 'option' from Engcon. No doubt has it's uses, for instance in applications where there might be protruding objects such as re-bar. Some like it and demand...

I mis-quoted the weight of the 300 last night - 820kg + hitch plate, not 860.

Capacity wise, one of our hire units is currently in clear-fell semi-mature larch and averaging 150 trees an hour cut and presented for forwarder. Peak output has been over 170 trees/hr I believe.
