Re: Hydrostatic drives in hot weather

Don't forget that a hydrostatic drive uses an oil bleed from the hydraulic oil circulating within the drive, it doesn't take a full flow from the tank.

Re: Gima large drilling machine head, also Rishton milling head

Just the head for the Gima, the Rishton does have the column.

Few more photos, if you want a specific photo then ask.

The last photo is of the Rishton, can only put three photos per post.

Re: JCB 8014 head gasket

Possibly, just possibly, might be a dead thermostat.

I bought a Ransomes 3250 mower with a cooked head, after much messing around it seems the original cause was a dud thermostat. It opened, but...

Re: Digger not charging ??

Two essential pieces of test equipment for any delving into electrics are:

1 - A DC current clamp ammeter, cost about 40, a 200A is sufficient.

2 - A DC ammeter that plugs straight into the...

Re: Adding proportional valve to Kubota kx080-3

I...

Re: Miller SRH-444 welder 450A DC

Yes, reckon there is 100-150kg copper in it, at 4500/tonne makes for a lot of cash.

Worth the effort in stripping the windings, transformers only worth 1000/tonne.
