Default Looking for a trailer axle central scotland

Hi

After getting good advice on other things I thought I would ask here...

Im looking for an axle for a trailer - something off a 7.5 tonner or a bit bigger.
Ideally double wheel. Does'nt matter if it has brakes or diff, don't need suspension. Its to be welded to a scrap steel boat to transport it along a farm track so not looking for anything too fancy

Central belt/renfrewshire/ayshire ideally

Cheers
Matt

Withams, mod-sales.com, are always a good place to start for this type of thing, just that south Lincolnshire isn't central Scotland! They do collect MoD stuff from everywhere and do good deals on delivery, worth a phone call.

You will need a diff as the half shafts will be flapping around and the hub bearings will not support the weight alone

Just cut the half shafts out leaving the bolt flange cap to keep bearing clean and pack with grease. Or leave diff in..

Wilsons auctions dalry or Morris Leslie at errol . You could possibly try commercial guys like Phillip c smith commercials or other truck breakers .

Thanks all, found one now. Took a bit of cutting to get it free from a rusty trailer and then some elbow grease to get the drums off from the seized brakes but now it's rolling, all 400kg of it. Next task is to stick it on the bottom of the boat hull. Cheers.
