Your totally right PD , those are nice wide tyres, a set of them on an A25 would be my ideal, but that's never going to happen for me! My A25 does very few hours a year, and I couldn't justify buying a set of those boots for it, it is there when I need it and I wouldn't be without it now, but most would think it unprofitable to have a truck for a few weeks work here and there, it works for us though.
But you must remember that A35 will weigh a good deal more than a 25, not sure on exact figures, Tim will no doubt have that info, and if you are going to utilise the extra capacity then its going to be, at a guess, a good 15tonnes heavier loaded than a loaded A25 and the extra LGP you gain from the tyres will be lost. But if ground conditions are good then you may be ok?
I also think from a spares point of view you may be better with an A25, more of those being broken possibly, but I may be wrong?
Yes Im sure you're right about there being more A25's about; just a shame they've all got bald tyres

I have an A25B in very good order. Low hours, tyres with tread. Rear tailgate. 18K to start. Was sold at that but buyer couldn't wait for us to finish job, was only a week It's in our yard in Berkshire.

That's a good wee truck that, Awesome Stereo (which lets face it is the most important item on a ADT). Did you ever fit A/C to it?

It is clean and the tyres will help the value. It wouldn't make 20k in euro auction maybe 17-18k hrs will def be out I'd bet it's nearer 20'000 another thing to note is those early a35s have a suspect drop box and I'd bet my bottom dollar it needs rebuilding at a cost of 7-8k.

The tyre diameter is really too small though. A35 should have 26.5's on them, 750/65's are same diameter as 23.5's You can see its wrong by the large gap under the front mudguards. This will make it higher geared. May not be a problem.

They do vary a lot. The spec sheet tare weight is 24.4 tonnes. The plate on the actual truck is stamped with actual weight when it comes off production line. The A35C tare on spec sheet says its 25.7 tonnes. It is probably at least 3 tonnes heavier too.

I have it in my head that my A25b is around the 17-18t tare mark, am I close or thinking of something else? I've never had the need to weigh it.
