What sort of vintage will it be?

I'm one of the watchers, not a lot of use to me though, can't see it being able to float.

showed it to Rory a few weeks ago when it first came on Fleabay .....
He's a bit of a fan ..... and it's relatively/sort of cheap-ish
could be an easy fix or a prize lemon ...... probably the latter

The first thing that goes through my mind when a dealer sells as spares/repairs is that surely they have a mechanic (or access to one) so if it was an easy fix surely they would fix it?

That is exactly how I see it as well, it doesn't give you much confidence buying any of the other listings that they have.

It's about 2k too much.

Lots of electrics on these to be a problem besides the obvious engine issue.... I like the concept and see them as a much better proposition to a duck for my line of work, but Alas too much money and the wrong end of the country.

Isuzu's are generally good engine's could be a plugged up fuel filter, maybe a lift pump. Interesting outriggers on it. Don't necessarily like all the linkages on the back of the boom but would be a great road maintenance machine for ditching, mowing, maybe mulching, and culvert repair.

lots of dealers will just try turn a profit without touching it once you start digging into it you never know what you will find or how much it will cost

yeh ... probably took it in, as is and trying to get out of it ahead, without touching it

As Rory says ... 2k too dear, as it stands .... at 3.5k you might chance your arm, after a bloody good look around it .. but at that money you'd buy a whole lot else, fully functional, without needing X,xxx thrown at it
