if you contact these guys

http://www.jccengcongroup.com/

they can make a search on the serial number M13005

and then they can tell you how old is it and what control system it was delivered with, and what kind of quick coupling it has, and also give you a price for changing to another quick coupling system.

Ps: don't buy this machine with a tilty,

you will get way too much work

you will get Too many people around you with eyes popping out and jawbones falling down on their chests

you will get so in love with it, that you will cry every time you put your ass in the seat off a machine that doesn't have it

With posts like this its hard to resist temptation. I may just find myself locked out in the evenings. Not yet any rate but its one to watch

That model in the picture would appear to be pinned on.

I believe different bosses and shims will allow that to fit, 60, 65, 70, 80mm machine size dippers, maybe even bigger. The EC20 is for the 16 -22t size carriers.

PUP stands for Pick up on Pins, some times referred to as a pin grabber, the 65 would suggest to me 65mm pins on the buckets etc. The A is possibly a reference for pin centres but I'm only guessing. Knowing how far ahead the Scandanavian countries are I would not be at all surprised to find a chart with A,B,C, and corresponding acceptable pin centres.

As for control systems that is another kettle of fish all together but something any prospective purchaser of a used unit needs to be aware of. You can easily spend several thousand pounds on a control system.

As for Ausdave, I can only guess it's an E20 unit with the letters referring to the type of bottom hitch. C@t do have some different pickups but what there reference details are I have no idea.
Rob, did you take a look at this one http://used.engcon.com/product/view/68

didn't know they were doing these too - this is cheap IMHDO

Not to keen on the bucket attachment system, would prefer standard pin grabber type. Is it a big deal to change the bucket attachment gear on the engcon end? I know it's reasonably straightforward to put new ears on the bucket.

Question to Frank or anyone who knows, I think the serial number on the engcon is M13005. What would be the build date of this engcon and what other details are relevant to engcons made at this time?

Thanks again, AusDave
By a remarkable coincidence there's a tilty on Finn tonight Dave, with that same hitch - ignore the price - it's an auction starting bid !!
