gonna have to 'gen up' on these things guys .... as I'm only more likely, than less, going to need some diagnostics, as she ages yet further.

was sick as a dog for days, until I got a handle on maintaining some form of equilibrium.

Not an experience to be repeated in a hurry for sure

How is yours fairing Chris ?

it was a few year ago that happened, i thought i had had a stroke, had not poked anything in my ear or any symptoms just happened out of the blue one minute i was walking along a pavement next i was staggering around like a drunk. cars were beeping their horns and hollering out of their windows all sorts of shite, i fell over and could not stand, and a lady walking a dog asked if i was ok. told her i wasnt drunk just could not stand she was brilliant told me to relax and she had seen me walking fine then thought i had a fit. after a while i felt ok again as long as i didnt move my head. she told me there was a walk in medical centre nearby and walked there with me. i was there a while and got examined the doctor did blood pressure etc and asked loads of questions, said he thought i may have an ear infection so looked with his machine noticed the tear on eardrum. still dont know to this day why it happened but since then i seem to get sinus infections if i get the flu. it was worrying never got really bad dizzyness or the completely drunken feeling unless getting up quickly, just put it down to one of those things. been ok though since.

very similar to how mine came on ... driving home and was feeling more and more like I was drunk, but had all my faculties

As said got out the car on my hands and knees and it just escalated from there.
Think mine was just a viral attack though, as the ears looked fine, according the doc !!

bloody awful feelings though ... anyone suffering with that has my sympathies, as it is completely disabling.

I woke one morning a few years later, unable to move the whole left side of my face and thought "oh shit, I've had a stroke in the night"
Could barely talk, drink or eat .... side of my face was paralyzed from the shoulder up and totally 'dropped' !!

went to the quacks later that day and he sent me straight down the local hospital to a neurologist/E.N.T. specialist. He concurred with the doc and pronounced it to be Bells Palsy .... yet another thing that can just 'hit you' !!

The weird thing was, I'd had a customer in the workshop the previous day, who I knew well and he'd looked awful ..... he'd had it for weeks and although the quack insisted it was no way josé 'catch-able' / transmit-able .... I have always found it a coincidence too far ...... I'd never bloody heard of it 'til then

Never hard a recurrence of it either ..... go figure that one !!

Yep, IID Tool. http://www.gap-diagnostic.com/products/iidtool/

Was blowing a hooley here, had the dogs all up in bed as two were agitated by the thunder and lightning!

As I've just mentioned in Ross's post, about the stickers ......

I bought some of those heated seat covers that GrahamS had recommended, on the 10th and was beginning to wonder if I'd been 'stitched up' ?

They'd not appeared before crimbo and the seller had pulled the listing.
Damn me if they didn't turn up in Tuesday's post

Now need to get a lighter type socket plumbed in, with a 12v dropper supply.
I don't like splitting off the middle of two batteries for 12v .... upsets the charging and IIRC it might have been Old Chips who said, a while ago, it knackers the one battery

I've used these a few times and should have a couple here, from memory ....

from these guys ...
https://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/towzatron...88.m1543.l2654

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Motorcycl...oAAOxyni9TEe3F

excellent suppliers for all sorts of leccy bits an' bobs and nice quality stuff too .... their Hella plugs / sockets, etc. are first class.

these are handy items too ... for those leads that're never quite long enough ...
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/12V-24V-C...wAAMXQVERS-zu-

These seat covers are listed at circa 32-40W so I reckon a 4A dropper'll do the trick for a power source, but might just stick a slightly bigger one in .....

and actually sort the stereo/radio out, while I'm 'delving' into the wiring in the RH arm rest / ignition/dashboard binnacle !!

Only been threatening to get around to it for about 3-ish years, but then I don't tend to spend prolonged time in the cab, or singing along to meself, or the radio.

Be nice to be able to run the Ipod though, .... without 'phones !!

Glad it arrived okay. Was using mine between Christmas and New year. Have a waterproof seat cover on at night, so I could lift off worst of the ice then put the heated cover on and I tell you it was luxury. Nice and toasty rather then frozen, what more could you want?
Graham
