Default Hello Everybody

Hello, after stumbling accross this forum by mistake i am pleased to see such a thing existed ( a previous machinery forum i thought was all that existed was american), i find it intresting reading opinions and views on equipment previously and currently supplied to the industry.

We are machinery dealers that cover the South East, and West Mids for the following manufactures - Case, Terex, Kaeser, Dynapac and we are also dealers for Hatz engines.

Anyway my name is Ross, and i am the General Manager of Southern Plant Ltd. I am looking forward to reading and trying to help where i/we can, i could go into more detail about us, but i wouldnt want people to think im here to badger people about sales etc.

Cheers
Ross

ok.

So just a little about us as a group.

Southern Plant is owned by a company called Ballyvesey Holdings.
Ballyvesey holdings are a family owned buisness which established itself in 1970, currently the group's main activities are concentrated in transport and logistics, truck sales and aftermarket support, trailer manufacturing and spare parts sales, transport industry services, construction equipment sales and service and more recently property development, management and investment.

Some of the buisness's you may recognise are all part of our group

Montgomery Transport
Montracon Trailers
West Penine Trucks - Scania Dealers
Intercounty - Mercedes dealers
Heathrow Daf, Luton Daf, Reading Daf - Daf dealers

3 plant dealerships

Southern Plant - South UK - Case, Terex, Dynapac and Kaeser

Scotia Plant - Scotland - Doosan, Terex, Dynapac and Kaeser

Sleator Plant - Ireland - Case, Belle, Bomag, Terex, Dynapac, Kaeser

as a group we employ around 1600 people, and with our roots established from the transport industry we understand the need to support our customers and staff.
