Considering the prices down here its tempting - here you need to spend somewhere between 35 and 40k € for something about 8 or 10 years old 200KMS but I want a Left Hand Drive 12T GVW (not sure what yours is ? )and it will be nightmare to sell a RHD when I want to move it on .... thats assuming I even managed to register it down here, been here 15 years and had many battles with the penpushers
Some Ive won others I have just given up and sent stuff back to the u.k.

Thats sort of thing ive been looking at ... that price is without a body on - he would chuck me a beat up one with it to put me on he says !

very easy to convert a lorry to LHD and Vice Versa. Could probably source all the parts cheaply as a ex road sweeper.

Cant think of anything much worse than attempting that kind of a job with everything else I have on .............I will just have to pay and look happy.

Just fit both sets of controls from a sweeper you wouldn't limit your 2nd hand market then.

I used ride in with a lad in a dual control sweeper,it used to really wind him up when I'd give it beans just before a junction.

More small wagon questions

I am pretty close to going trapsing about to find a wagon, trouble is there is nothing my neck of the woods so its going to be a longish drive and wont get chance to see different models next to each other and also never really see them round here to stop and have a look at.

Seems to be quite a range of wheelbase in the 12T hookloader range - going from 3.1M to 3.8m

Smallest seems to carry approx 3.8m body and longest 4.2 or so.

I am hoping to put a decent size mini digger on it (all folded up) maybe 4.5 ton or thereabouts.

Most of my work is private and im not sure if the longer wheelbase would be a bit of a pig to get in to jobs etc little truck I have at moment has about 2.9M wheelbase and its lovely for jobbing about.

Would appreciate hearing what people who run these sort of size trucks thinks regarding how 70cm in the wheelbase changes things handyness wise - like I say if I could see a few side by side I would be able to judge and prob know straight off what would be best , but I am not goint to get that luxury.

Cheers
