Kubota would be a good long term investment. Parts are expensive but you wont need many. Long term you'll get a very good risidual value.

Case is a nice machine maybe not the best to hold its money though Have heard Cat is a bit numb but no first hand seat time ask Eddie about the Kub not even seen one of the new JCB,s I would say a lot is down to the best dealer round you that will back you up when you're up against it

I'd have a good look at the new JCB 86c. As said though, the Kubota should be a good investment, in theory

Hi muckshifter and welcome!! Sorry i can't help you to much on the choice you have given as i've not driven cat lately nor jcb and case but i have the new -4 kubota and until they iron out the problem with them i would'nt have one?? If it was me with your choice i would try the case first then the cat but if i was buying one myself it would be komatsu-hitachi and kobelco has got to be worth a look???

What is the problem with the kx080-4?? Had a quick drive in the case cx80c cant fault the cab for comfort. I thought it was a bit slow to react to joy stick movements but maybe that's because she is very smooth to drive. Going to have a look at the jcb this week.

Not good Shaun, i'm sure iv'e read some of your woes on other threads. I can't remember all the detail so excuse my questions.
Did you have the machine from new ? and has it been miss performing from new ? Speed as you know is controled by volume ie flow speed. Power is = to pressure. I don't know what control system they use on that model and i'm sure the machine has been checked so much the test point threads are begining to strip. Are larger capacity pumps able be fitted to that model ? higher volume but same WP. ? Is the pump strainer or can it be substituted for a larger bore and mesh area ? Have you had and suspicions of issues with return filters ?

Regards Tim
