Is it full time, permanent ops you're after Tim or just seasonal?

Was offered chance but have requested to stay where I am and go onto next section.
200 miles from home is pita but only 80 miles from parents and dad is seriously ill so at least I can get there on a Wed night for a few hours.
If down south or Wales job I would be spending all my time travelling at weekends.
He came out of hospital Jan 2014 and we didn't expect him to see Easter, he's not only seen Easter & Christmas it looks like he might see this Easter too.

That's fair enough mate. It's the easiest way to do it. I had a call from Ricky from Walters a couple of weeks ago, as I'd applied to Walters. He rang me on the friday and wasn't too impressed that I wouldn't start on Monday. I'm only on for an agency but still have to give some notice.
I don't think he realised it was me but then again he ain't got back to me since, so maybe he did

As to be expected from some of these large companies. Not sure they'd be happy with you just up and leaving with no notice, you'd probably find the last weeks pay didn't arrive.

Would be to around November Paul, but that depends on what other work we pick up.
We have some construction and civils work going on as well as muckshifting. So I expect operators to be out helping when the machine is Idle. I always got out of the cab and still do. I have several lads booked to see next week. NPORS testing day booked ready too at the end of the month. Had a day on the 31st. 5 assesments and tests 250 plus 120 for 4 registations and cards. Thats four more lads into the trade at just over a third the cost of 1 CPCS card !!

That is a good move and likely to catch many a safety dept out, putting them on the back foot.

I was sent a copy of an email(several months ago) that suggested some UKCG members would not be following suit but what final outcome is I cannot guess.
