Default Hit miss and antique engines

Since selling the backhoe I've gained more interest in antique engines. Always liked watching the old engines at the Antique Power shows. Recently picked up two engines at an auction. Got both running now after fuel tank and carburetor cleaning, ignition cleaning lubrication and adjustments.
The yellow one is a hit miss made by Nelson Brothers series C (1920's vintage?). It's should be 3 horsepower. Not many records for this engine as the factory burned down destroying records with date of mfg and serial numbers. These were also sold under Montgomery Wards and other names.
The other is a 1937 International model LA 1.5 to 2.5 horsepower depending upon rpm. This runs very nice like a normal 4 stroke engine, not a hit miss.
Plan to hook up the Nelson engine to a smaller buzz saw and run it for demonstration (light sawing). 3 horsepower should be enough to spin it okay. The shaft and bearings free spin very nice. No plans for the International other than run it for show.
If this should be posted in another area please move it as needed.

Enjoy the holidays. Ray
