mine on the Deutz, in't Drema is a belt driven item on the belt that also drives the water pump ..... no belt = no fuel = no cooked motor

Nothing wrong with old school cam operated lift pump. Easy to maintain, easy and cheap to change, provided correct replacement is provided.

I've known many mechanical lift pump problems. I've had no issues whatsoever with 15 electric lift pumps, and they can fit anywhere in the fuel system.

I agree with you too Ruben ..... POP to locate anywhere you want and cheap as chips to buy.

pros and cons for all schools of thought .... TBH if mine on't Deutz failed, I'd probably go leccy.......Mr Deutz's'll probably be a pricey item .. but as said, the way that's set up, could be an engine saver
