No, the hole are drilled square to machine( if you see what i mean.) on both Blockes.
I'd not bother using the existing holes Huw.

Drill out the two inner ones top and bottom rows and the two outer most ones on the centre row if you really wanted to go for it, then drill and tap the existing weight to suit their alignment.
space the new weight off the existing with suitable spacers .... job done and lot less faff.

Affraid you Lost me there. Sounds like it beyond my what tool kit is capable of.
What drill can be used to drill through a cast block like that.

was gonna mark yer piccy up and re-post it ..... but me 'puter couldn't recognise your Jpeg format ???

Cast is as soft as ..... once through the outer skin and lovely material to tap/machine .... ordinary good quality HSS drill bits're fine - Dormer/Presto/etc. ..... and a mag drill'd obviously be a great help

Suppose the easiest way would be to drop the main weight onto the floor and sit the new on top to drill.
Would i need some fair lengh of drill bit to keep every thing in line.
I need to agree a price for it before i do anything.
What would it be worth. Seeing as its been sitting in the back of dealers workshop for years.
