It's been here a while, couple of years since I was here, I'm sure it was here 3-4 years ago, maybe more. The sea air isn't doing it and favours, and the fact it handles wet sand, doesn't look as 'fresh' as it once did. The poor tracks are seizing up a bit, clearly evident when I saw it on the move.
Still a nice old tool though, and way ahead of the machines they used to use here I think, I was pretty shocked when I first saw it standing there.

The sand it handles is dredged in the estuary, then carted away on trucks. Just saw it stock piling today out of the dredge boat.
Holiday!!!!

You've escaped again!!

Spoiling your self there James ..... nice choice though

This old girl sat a bit further up the quay, still turns in a shift or two by the looks of it, have seen it loading trucks in the past, I would think it must be a struggle to reach into the boat, but I may be wrong?

I spend far to many hours working Gra , there are days when I don't see my kids, I'm up and out before they wake and back after they are in bed, so it's nice to spend a bit of quality time with them, and if I don't go away then it just doesn't happen! Mind you I think I've spent time on the phone nearly every day trying to organise things for work! Hazards of running your own biz

We do enjoy Cornwall , there's loads to do, but a nice pasty and the beach is normally quite adequate on a sunny day been real lucky with the weather this time, today being the only really rainy day, so I can't complain hitch up and haul home tomorrow, so back to the grind on Monday !

can empathise with that one James.
Used to be the same and with no kids to drive the 'holiday mode process', I never used to bother!! (much to Pam's annoyance)

Organising time off was just such a ball ache ..... take 2 months to get myself in a position where I could be away for a week

Took everyone to the Sud De France for 2 weeks for Pam's 50th, in '09 ... started planning in January for June. Got it all sussed, sorted and in place ...... and we lost Pam's dad 4 days before set off date.
Been ill a while, but unexpected at that time.

Enjoy Boyo ...... I'm sure you've earned it

Yes I think your right, might have seen his wagons running out of the harbour in years gone by. I'm sure he will put us right if he reads this?
