Be a great shame to loose this forum to facebook....

Today I have searched to find Dr Peckers company to enquire about some seals for a Krupp hammer, I am waiting on pictures and Price from Aiden for a new attachment, I regularly ask Tim mundane and stupid questions and I could go on?

Forum needs an update. Pictures in particular.

Fresh faces will help but the above is most critical.

Be a shame to either loose this forum or have to abandon ship and start afresh.

What's the "pictures in particular" problem ? Seem to manage OK; and as for Facebook - won't go near it!

Basically the picture uploader is "Iffy"

I have my phone set to take pretty low resolution pictures, (which is a downside to be honest and a lot of people prefer to take high resolution).

Even then sometimes they will upload, sometimes they won't, often I give up.

If you have your camera set to a bigger resolution, well you'll have to resize them, which will take all your time and willpower away.

I used to post up photo's of our work and all sorts of other projects. Helpful photo's of repair procedures etc. This was carried out effortlessly until the forum crashed. After resizing photo's for a month or two I gave up asking as never got an answer. I have more than enough to do without fucking about posting pictures on a forum that has an owner that doesn't appear to care. stand to be corrected here !! Not sure why I stay here but if I and other regulars clear off it will crash. I don't think he realises how fortunate he is. Mind you I still have not had load rite info from him since April and that is his business, too late now as they went to RDS. !! Of course this page may not get read for months by the powers that be ?

Just like to add my name to the ďsave the forum petition.Ē

Big thumbs up to everything said already.

Havenít had a go at the book of face yet, but signed up for twitter, set up a profile page and got no further. Must try and get my head round it sometime.

Fair play to Julian for having the foresight to start the forum.

This is a great place for people to share their plans, very often with business sensitive information, but they do so in good faith with a view to helping others, or maybe receiving help.

Thereís some great ole campaigners on here as well as bright new sparks. A great mix.

Obviously Issues need to be dealt with to make it better for people to share their experience.

Itís not easy keeping everything going and clearly from Rossís post there are plans in the making.
Thatís great, but this is a forum, so hopefully Julian will share his plans.
Itíll keep us all in the picture and he may get a bit of help too.

Tony.

Balls already rolling thanks Tim, remembered you had good service from them and searched using the forums search function. Just waiting for prices Unsure yet what i'll do, two peckers to choose from, one Indeco and a Krupp, the Krupp is much smaller class than the machine (but as we've discussed before that's not always a bad thing and gives the option of fitting it to the small machines) but will be only for very light use, easy enough to hire a bigger one and a machine to shake to bits.

The Indeco is for a 8t class machine. And overkill for the use it will get.

Anyway, i'm deviating from the importance of saving the forum.

P.S - Tried sending the wiring diagrams but PDF is a pita so I shall send the CD with them on up with Tim.

You have a web site Rory, it'll have plenty of storage space, upload your file to your webspace, then send a link to Tim.

Not a webspace issue, it's to do with the way the files are protected I could try a number of different things but the easiest is to just send the CD up.
