we had aome rebar pierce a tyre on site last year, took the wheel off, found the nearest tyre place, they popped the tyre off, put a patch on the inside, good as new, 15mins. 20 drink. well worth it to be working an hour after the accident

The tyre strings are a great job.

I have a dumper with 4 tyres, probably 6 or 7 of these repairs in each. Previous owner must have driven it over a bed of nails on regular occasions.

They surprised me, when I first saw them thought it was a bit of a gimmick, but 3 or 4 yrs later they all hold air. One goes soft over a month or so, but I don't know if this is one of the repairs, or just a poor valve.

You can also buy "bowtie" shaped rubbers that work in the same way and are better for slits. anything worse and we just take it in to our local ATS who give us a good price
