"Please note – I class a day as 10 hours, in the winter months it may not be practical to work due to shorter daylight hours and the cost will reduce in line with this."

Take it from someone who's been there mate, if you can't make enough in 8 hours then you won't in ten.

8 with lunch break is industry standard, make the quality and efficiency of your 8 hours the selling point, not the fact that you'll do another two hours (probably tired and making mistakes).

I do ten hour days because firstly the maths is easier on my wee brain and secondly it's far better to work ten hours when the weathers right than have to return when it dries up. Mainly it gives me the option to work ten hours without someone expecting me to pack up and stop disturbing the peace two hours ago.

What I do isn't the gardening grunt work your involved in. I'd quite happily (and have in the past for others) spend 10-12 hours in a machine so long as I get a good nights sleep, I'd rather do 4 ten hour days than 5 eight hour days.

Make hay whilst the sun shines .... Would do 12 a day if we could. Get to site for 7 am start so be there at least 15 min early ... Can save hours in traffic !!! Same with going home, who wants to waste hours in the lemming que !! If you want to make it Rory 10 hours is perfect. 2 extra hours a day is is 12 hundred a month. Now I think that's worth having don't you . Then you have the weekends to add. Sat morning is compulsory

Then I would price it at an 8 hour day and then just charge pro rata if you feel like doing more hours and there was more to be done anyway.
