Default Air con services for construction and agricultural machinery

Hi folks, thought Id put a post here about our new mobile air con service.
In our everyday onsite plant repair work we found it better to get the training and equipment to do it onsite ourselves. The benefits of this is many years of onsite plant repair experience so we know our way around this type of machinery.
We can also fit heavy duty roof mounted A/C units.
I can be contacted here or by pm or on 07831 122017.

Thanks for looking Bert.

Myself and one of my fitters went on an AC 2 day course several years ago and bought the equipment too. A very good move on our part. Volvo dump trucks throw up all sorts of challenges which I love ...... when the problem is sorted.

Bert a tip .... A25B&C trucks have a three speed fan which you probably know. Quite often 2nd speed, running speed, is faulty and is often a problem as truck doesn't always overheat but condenser doesn't get enough through flow. Also debris gets caught up between rad and condensor.

Cheers for the tips, do you just do ac work on your own machinery or do you offer it as a service?

We mainly only do our own but also companies we are contracting or hiring machines to, if they have their own machines needing repairs.

I decided to do this because several of our quarrying customers were concerned over dust in the cabs, insisting doors and windows were kept closed. This wasn't an issue except on their older kit that didn't have A/C. On these we fitted rooftop kits, this wasn't a problem except I had to get someone in to gas them up.
So along with normal repairs like compressors going wrong or hoses getting damaged I thought it worthwhile to keep it in house and get the training and equipment.

If dust is still an issue when doors and windows are closed you may need to think of a cab pressuriser. I think these can be fitted within Red Dot rooftop units. Usually the AC unit will manage though.

The heater fan does enough to keep the cab pressurised, atleast it does on a volvo, the problem was the machines without A/C were just to hot. The Red Dot units are very good thats what I use.
