jeeezus that bonnet looks a lump ...... must be at least 3mm, looking at the way it's bowed out

Sean's gonna have to fit either a hiab, or a very techy system of gantries, ropes and pulleys to use the front end to hoist it skyward !!

Its all down to time Dan,I'm on youtube,face book old girls of plant hire,vintage jcb machines,110 group,BCEF,and other nibbling factors involving computers.I still have not visited Rory's FB or Tim's or yours or BCEF FB.Its nothing personal believe me....I'm not fucking 3CPO mate,any more and I will look like a computer! I know I'm in demand all over the web but you must be patient lol.

There is a tele handler on the farm,when the time comes its gone.I want to panel beat my piece of alloy sheet over the shape of it first

Is it hinged sean it was never lifted when we looked don't think it would be as bad if it was hinged and had struts

No Lee it's just been craned on,very bad idea for a bonnet.

how about cutting some access panels into it and using the bulk of it as a support structure Sean, with a few stiffener ribs underneath, as necessary. If you ever need full access to the engine bay just lift it off as a whole, otherwise open the access panels for fluid checks

Its a fair enough idea but I would just rather get shut.I will use some soft alloy sheet from an old wagon body,its easy to cut and shape and light enough to lift.I will put a few strengtheners on the inside and bobs your naughty uncle !

only thing to remember with that Sean is that; light is not strong .... sooner or later some one is going to stand on it and it'll be new one time, before you can scream NO !!
