Talking Viking duck invasion

Viking duck invasion

Hi I'm a Norwegian rubber duck owner operator, sense the duck ponds here are freezing up this time of year
and it becomes hard for the webbed feet to paddle around in the ice.

Have I decided that I will stretch my wings and fly over and have a look around in the UK.

The word is that the ponds doesn't tend to freeze up so much over there. LoL

I have a Liebherr A314 duck with Scandinavian long-bottomed buckets, tilty, grab, and a 8 ton dump trailer on the back of the duck

essentially a quiet standard Norwegian setup

And yes my duck is staying at home LoL

Parked up for the night

End of a project coming home for a wash

And I like to believe that I am quite accustomed to the Norwegian way of doing stuff

I have been following the tilty discussions here on the ceforum with great interest
and much of the arguments are basically the same as we had here in Norway when the tilty came into the business

for example something like this

Rototilt = heavy, expensive, soup-hungry, power-inhibiting, capacity and unnecessarily inhibited in 99% of all the digging.

The fact is here in Norway if you turn up on the worksite without the tilty will you be sent straight home
they expect and in fact demand that you have one and know how to use it, and low and behold, when not to use it.

So the plan is to fly over, rent a car and drive around the country and have a look at what ever it is there to see

I have decided that I will spend two weeks in UK

and I will very much like to meet up with as many forum members as possible, I have been so fortunate to meet 4 forum members

on different occasion, and I would love to be able to put a face to the name on a few more forum members

so if you have any questions of the Scandinavian way, now you have the chance to give them face-to-face to a Viking duck OP

I very much welcome tips on affordable accommodations hotels, B&B, etc. around the country
I very much welcome tips on places that are worth a visit

I will be stretching my wings on tuesday the 10 of January and I fly back on tuesday the 24

Regards

Frank

North from Stanstead the M11 becomes the A14 and between there and the A1 junction towards Peterborough is a big roadworks job just starting up.
have not been near it but I believe there are a few bits of large kit fairly close to the main road, don't get distracted

Can pretty much guarantee you won't be suprised at the lack of tilty's on your travels
