Daz i visited with the missus and our little one, shown on the gallopers, we didn't get there until near on 15.30 and walked around the show to start with.
I was looking out for you, the tug of war was in progress and we found the beer tent on comming out the parade was in progress.
Ended the day in Jamie Olivers parents pub for dinner.......nothing special i'm afraid. Hope you have good weather and all goes well next weekend.
The ploughing engines were both sunrise and sunset. A good friend of mine and John Keeleys nephew said he went to a private do held by John Saunders last year. We both also know Mark waite who looks after one of the smaller engines for Mr Saunders. Personaly i think he should pay you guys for what you do. He out bids many other keen collectors for spares and accessories that come up at sales. I spied his personalised range rover too.

Tim thanks for the words on the weather i hope so to

The tug of war was quite special the adults actually held the Burrell Showmens engine Majestic on the field which considering Maj is the best part of 16 tons is pretty impressive, i know it's only fun but thats still a fair effort.

Glad you came over and enjoyed yourselves the Gallopers were transfered into John's name the week before the do as the owner sadly died and they were always promised to John. They will go out a couple of times this year and then they will be stripped and refurbished from top to bottom as they do need it. They were originally a 4 abreast set but were cut down a few years ago to 3.

On sat night we went for a spin round a few local pubs on the Sentinel S8 which is pretty special as it will do 50mph and then ended up in the beer tent till 3 in the morning very sore head as i don't normally drink

I didn't take any photo's as my camera is broke and the new 1 we have bought is not for steam rallies or digger jobs 'so says Lorna'

Easy on the thumb bit guys

I just go with what L says as it makes for an easy life.

Mog having been in Welldon Castle in the East wing i think you are 1 to talk about being under the Thumb I think Lady Donna and the butler might agree with me.
