Default Charges for workshop radios

We've had a phone call from someone saying we are receiving an invoice for having a radio on in the workshop. Has anyone else had something similar?

I have heard of it before... but never had anything said or done about it!

Think my wee sister had a fine or something in her salon one time.

Out of interest how much is the invoice for!

Yes occasionally they come round and get ya. There are ins and outs of it all, so you need to give them the right answer.

Although a phone call about it sounds dodgey as...

I think they need to come out and issue a fine there and then, not just ring up

My old man got the call and they asked if there was a radio in the workshop and he say no, they said but yes there is and he said I don't think so. And they said yes there is, how big is the workshop and how many people work in it. He said some guys sometimes take in a small radio next to them when they work, they said unless it's headphones you are liable to pay and there is an invoice for 90 in the post.
