Whatched this the other nite Gra and was totally blown away with the figures and what they've achieved, espically with how recent it was all finished, a couple of weeks ago. Certainly one to watch again.

Now the shelter is in place the plan is to dismantle and properly dispose of all that glow in the dark shite. What and where they will put that stuff is a whole other question. But whatever they do with all that radioactive material has to be better than waiting for it to all fall in on itself.
My dad has a retired engineer friend that had something to do with that project a few years ago.

That's right, and I think 20,000 years till it's all safe!!....found it really interesting how they were going 3 cables to keep the demolishing platform level and using those little teflon pads to slide it on. An amazing achievement by all involved.

Really makes you wonder why we are still building the bloody things.. You really have to not give a shit about the future to support nuclear energy... and I dare anyone to say any different unless they where prepared to have a waste tip in there back garden.

I'm not a lover of Solar, and a lot of people dislike wind turbines but either is better than nuclear shite. Why we aren't building tidal lagoons and Hydro dams I don't know.... likewise why have we bludgeoned our coal industry to death whilst allowing Germany to continue strip mining shit coal.

We're still building hydro dams here Rory and bloody big ones.

The only problem with nuclear is the bozo's that have built some of these systems like the Yanks and the Russians that have caused these accidents like Fukishema, Chernobyl, and Three Mile Island... You've never heard of any criticality accidents at a CANDU site.

My issue with Nuclear Bert isn't risks whilst running. There incredibly safe...

My issue is the waste, No one really knows what to do with it

Rory my father worked on nuclear waster disposal for over 30 years and there are solutions. And one of the first repositories in the world will be commencing construction in the 5 to 10 years in Northern Ontario.
