Thanks for the vote of confidence .

In all honesty I don't think experience is the be all and end all, it often comes with bad habits .

The biggest hurdle I foresee is finding someone with the right mindset and work ethic. So few these days want to do, or know how to do a productive shift on anything, let alone a bit of specialist kit.

That said, the right man is out there, he may not know it yet, or think he's capable of operating such equipment but he, or she? is out there. Finding them is the task in hand and I wish Eddie all the best going forward with this fantastic opportunity.

It's not just the operating skills, which can be taught to the right person. It is wanting to work and do it Eddies' way. Working for big prestigious clients is a different mindset than your little sites. When I was trying to find a new guy you see so many who think it is perfectly okay to "have a laugh" and mess about. Big clients won't accept low standards of behaviour, even if the work gets done.

Also you might find the perfect operator local who doesn't want to work away, then there's rates

Had quite a bit of interest in the positions from a wide range of backgrounds.

Some have no Civils experience which is a must, and others are simply fishing for rates.

You only have yourself to sell, if you're thinking of getting in touch, take a few moments to decide what rewards you want/need and would be happy with going forward. You'll be telling me what you want, not me throwing rates about.
Start off on the wrong foot and it'll never be any good in the future.

Don't be shy, someone has got to operate them, and there is only one place to learn and that's in the seat.

Eddie.

They are actually great machines to operate and you get to do some interesting jobs.

Tired after a long day isn't the best time to start something new.
If I'm staying at Bodmin again I'll let you know.

Eddie,

What the hell happened to the "Big Fella" ??
Saw your post come up on a twitter link today. Couldn't believe it.
Deliberate arsonists I assume?

Appreciate you have more than enough on your mind at present, but if and when you have time, would appreciate hearing the full story.

Sorry it's really not appropriate to comment at present, as obviously subject to investigation by the relevant authorities.

All I will say is I've been totally overwhelmed by the messages of support I have received, many from guys who know this would be a total nightmare scenario for them too.
The offers of assistance really have been incredible, and people I have had to call upon have literally just cleared their schedules to be there straight away.

I am sorry if I perhaps haven't replied to all messages yet, yesterday was a blip to get the ball rolling on Big Feller, but today is about getting kit together to see the project through.

The waiting to see if it will repair, and I would have 100% faith in a Liebherr rebuild, is going to be the hard part, but such a beautiful bit of kit that is pretty much totally unmarked cosmetically doesn't deserve the bottles.

Thanks Again.

Eddie.

Totally understand Eddie, investigation has to take its course.

In time you will undoubtedly be able to divulge further information, but that's not important at this time.

I truly hope that you get everything sorted to your satisfaction. I've every faith that it won't be too long before you have something in place to fulfil your contracts, or that in time, Liebherr have you back up and running.

I'm sure there are plenty on here who can and will be of assistance.

Good Luck and keep in touch.

Nig
