I don't have enough post to PM!
PM me your email address, and I'll sort you out an email after my dinner.
When you put the red key in are you turning it?

Hi, I have sent you a PM

Im not turning the red key when i put it in. Im supposed to put it in, dont turn it, and press the monitor button once or twice.

in all cases wether the key is in or out or the key is black or red, the display shows the same thing. hours/fuel level/temperature

i think it is supposed to say something regarding the key so i think the machine isnt recognising there is a key inserted.

that could be a fault with the barrel ignition or it could be a fault with the "antenna"

given that i had a problem when starting and releasing the key - i think the replacing the ignition barrel would be a good start

Stupid Question.

On all the keys is the little hole clean and clear. Are the Keys rusty and can you move the keys vertically when turning.

From memory the Kubota system uses a laser in the key barrel.

..... you're having a laugh Rory ..... Kub are good but, FFS a laser in a key barrel??? It's a digger FFS .... gets dirty, vibrates, gets operated by rufty, tufty digger men ......
Aside from the physical logisitcs of installing a laser LED and a receiver transducer in such a tiny space and keeping it all in alignmnet ... WTF would it cost

hands in the air if I'm wrong, but I really just can't see it

Our newest jcb black keys got wiped of there code from using the red key had to disconnect battery for a while then insert red key turn on so dash lights up then remove and put black keys in to reprogram them not sure if it works the same way on kubotas
